Advancing a low-carbon future
The brief
The Crown Estate was evolving their net zero strategy and, with that evolution, they were looking to publish an update on their latest progress, as well as their path forwards. Alongside a report that would share high-level details of their ambitions and sector-specific transition pathways, they wanted a video that would raise public awareness of their work.
The process
Through an iterative process, I worked with The Crown Estate to create a report that detailed their decarbonisation strategy and the actions they had already taken. Using this as a basis, I then developed the script for a concise and engaging video that shared the key points of their strategic approach. I reviewed everything for potential greenwashing language, ensuring each statement was grounded in fact as well as ambition.
The outcome
The result was an inspiring yet measured report that detailed The Crown Estate’s roadmap towards a low-carbon, energy-secure future for the UK. Starting with a fact-based overview of the scientific and policy landscape in which The Crown Estate operates, the report detailed each strategic focus areas, with a standardised structure of Our approach - Our progress - What’s next for easy readability.
The supporting video took that content and shared a snapshot of The Crown Estate’s targets and key impacy stats, providing an at-a-glance look at what they’re doing and how.
