Story-led reporting

Closing the loop on waste

The brief

An international environmental non-profit was looking to communicate the impact of its work through an annual progress report. Bringing together stories from across its global network of partners, the report needed to demonstrate how collaboration and innovation were driving progress towards a more circular economy.

The process

Taking content provided by the non-profit, as well as insights gathered from stakeholder interviews, I developed report copy that clearly followed the structure of their strategic pillars to create an intuitive reading experience. Incorporating quotes and stories that highlighted the social, as well as environmental, impact of initiatives helped create a more engaging, people-focused narrrative.

The outcome

Built around case studies, the report illustrated the real-world impact the non-profit creates through strategic partnerships and their own innovations. Clear location labels at the top of each study demonstrated the organisation’s global presence while, by dividing the report by pillar, readers were able to easily navigate to the content they were most interested in.
